Children will be registered into specific classes based on age and past training. Each student's ability is considered when determining final placement.

The first week of classes will be used as a placement week. A child may be moved after an instructor’s evaluation. Please note: this may mean a change of schedule.

EXPANDED DIVISION
Our expanded programs offer a variety of classes including beginner, intermediate and advanced Jazz, Hip-Hop, Tap, and Lyrical.

Jazz / Hip-Hop / Lyrical Ages 5 + (refer to Schedule for full age listing)
These popular forms of dance, each with its own distinctive style, greatly appeal to a dancer’s need for freedom and self-expression. Fun for all ages!

Recommendation: We encourage jazz students to take at least two ballet classes per week, as this is widely recognized as a strong foundation for every dance form. Do not dismiss the necessity of strong classical technique in order to excel in other dance forms.

Modern
Modern dance  refused classical ballet's stress on feet as the primary catalyst for dance movements and instead put stress on the torso employing such elements as contact-release, floor work, fall and recovery, and improvisation.  It is usually performed in bare feet.

Tap
This fun and exciting American form of dance has its emphasis on rhythm and allows students to develop physical coordination and musicality.

Enrichment Program
Our newest dance program!  Specifically designed for students with cognitive and/or developmental disabilities.  This program contains many exciting dance styles combined with creative movement.

**Please refer to Performance Opportunities for information about our competition team**

For adults, dance is an effective and exciting exercise alternative that increases movement, develops strength and stamina, tones muscle, and improves posture. Beginner and intermediate classes are available in Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop and Lyrical.
